Breeze has rhyzomes that spread underground that help bind the soil, and allow the plant to spread and fix damaged areas.
It will only spread about 500 mm from the centre of the plant, so it isn't considered invasive.
Breeze is particularly helpful at binding the soil around drains and on slopes. (pictured below)
Its vigorous root system makes it an excellent erosion contol Australian native plant.
