An upright perennial, Cassica features blue green, strappy leaves which are broader than most Lomandras.
Plants need little or low maintenance and are drought and frost tolerant.
Grows to 90cm in height.
Uses "Cassica")
Ideal for mass planting in garden beds, borders, fence lines and low water gardens where a tough ornamental plant is necessary.
Position
Grows well in full sun to shaded positions. Prefers well drained sandy or sandstone type soils.
Care "Cassica")
Generally none required after establishment.
Warning!
It is risky to use Cassica or common lomandra longifolia in heavy or clay soils, as they will often get root rot.
