Advanced Trees in Queensland

Plants of Noosa have been growing the Ozbreed Advanced Tree Range for the past two years, specializing in Tristaniopsis laurina LUCIOUS ‘DOW10’, Waterhousea floribunda SWEEPER ‘DOW20’ and Syzygium australe PINNACLE ‘AATS’

Tristaniopsis laurina LUCIOUS ‘DOW10’ is an excellent tree to grow in a commercial nursery environment as it has proven to be resilient to pest and disease and performs well all year round. It is perfect for street tree applications and conforms to Natspec requirements. While retaining the striking white trunk and reddish branches of the Tristaniopsis laurina the Luscious has larger, glossy foliage making it a standout of the species. Lucious can be used with confidence and is an excellent alternative to the main stream trees that are used so regularly.

Waterhousea floribunda SWEEPER ‘DOW20’ is a slight variation of the ever popular Waterhousea floribunda but is just as reliable. It has proved to grow excellent in our nursery environment; we have had no major problems with pest or disease. Sweeper grows slightly shorter than Waterhousea floribunda and has finer foliage. It’s beautiful weeping habitat is more pronounced than its relative and can be used as an exceptional street tree, dense screen or large hedge. With its smaller and softer form Sweeper is an excellent choice for a variety of landscape applications.

Syzygium australe PINNACLE ‘AATS’ has similar looking foliage to other Syzygium’s such as - elite, paniculata dwarf, but it differs in its growth habit as it grows naturally into a conical shape. In our nursery it has proven to be an easy to grow, low maintenance shrub.

It has an ideal form for court yards, or tight gardens where space is restricted by buildings or fences. It creates a great screen or hedge with minimal pruning required to shape and it doesn’t spread as wide as other Syzygium species.

The Ozbreed Advanced Tree Range of trees have been in cultivation and supplied into landscape projects throughout NSW for the past 6 years with great success. Since growing this range of trees we have supplied them into various landscape projects throughout QLD and NSW. They have been successfully incorporated into residential plantings through to large commercial projects.

The species this range is cultivated from -Tristaniopsis laurina, Waterhousea floribunda and Syzygium australe have a proven reputation throughout the landscape industry. This gives us the confidence we are producing and supplying dependable trees but also offering landscapers, designers and architects a new and exciting alternative.
