The Ozbreed Field Day - 2010

By Katrina Layt

The field day last year in October gave you the chance to see Ozbreeds testing gardens, new plants and new research in a relaxed yet informative environment. If you missed the Ozbreed field day last year, let us know when you are in Sydney and we can organise a private tour for your company to look around the Ozbreed gardens. The tour takes approximately an hour and the invitation is ongoing. We only ask that we get at least one days notice. See the feedback below we received from Landscape Architects and Designers about the day. We hope to see you soon.

“As a landscape Architect I find there is no better way to learn and extend your knowledge of materials, hardscape or softscape, than being on site. However a visit to Ozbreed takes the learning potential to a whole new level. Here you can walk around and visually analyse and compare a large array of improved plant and turf species with a highly passionate, very informative tour leader. The knowledge gained from my trip to Ozbreed opened my mind to endless softscape possibilities and in turn has made me a more accomplished landscape architect.” Craig Tennant, Senior Landscape Architect, PLACE Design Group Pty Ltd

"I just wanted to say thanks to you and all the team for such a great day today. It ran like clockwork and you even organised good weather for us. There was a fantastic amount of information and the plants were looking great. Thanks again." Louise McDaid, Editor of Landscape Outlook Magazine, AILDM Member

"I would like to thank all at Ozbreed for such an interesting and informative day which was topped off by a delicious lunch and a visit from a Guide Dog puppy.  Everyone was enthusiastic and so interested to hear about the research that is going on. The colours and textures in many of the newer plants are stunning.

Seeing the plants growing “in-situ” was also most helpful, not only from a design point-of-view but the selected environment." Ann Falster, Ann Falster Design

“It was great to see the research, testing and hard work that is the basis of effective plant selection…and ultimately,  successful landscape projects. We were all on ‘information overload’ by the end of the tour but thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks to the Ozbreed crew for sharing their knowledge and passion!” Michael Barnett, PLACE Design Group Pty Ltd

"Many thanks to you and the team at Ozbreed for such an informative day last Friday.  It was a great chance to hear from you all and see the performance of the plants first hand." Jocelyn Ramsay, Jocelyn Ramsay & Assoc. PTY LTD
