King Alfred has an aggresive root and rhyzome system like Breeze.
Its rhyzomes spread underground and help bind the soil aswell as allowing the plant to spread and fix up damaged areas.
It only spreads about 500 mm from the centre of the plant so it isn't considered invasive.
King Alfred can cope with periodic (not permanent) wet feet with a better abilty than Breeze.
