Environment
A selection of a naturally wide spread Australian natives, with low water requirements.

Low Maintenance
Little Jess
An estimated trimming once every 8 years, makes this one of the lowest maintenance plants there is. 'Little Jess' has very short compact canes which will not fall over like the common Dianella caerulea which generally has long canes.

Little Jess has the lowest maintenance of any Dianella caerulea. In rich soils, well watered gardens and fertilised gardens. Little Jess may grow faster, and may need trimming more often, e.g: every 5 years.

Tough
Little Jess Dianella caerulea is known as one of the most drought tolerant, adaptable Australian native plants. Underground rhizomes ensure excellent cold survival.

It has been tested in the frosts of Canberra, and the humidity of Cairns, with brilliant performance. It will brown off in Canberra in winter and will stay evergreen in moderate frost areas.

Dwarf & Compact
'Little Jess' only grows to 40cm which is about half the height of many forms of Dianella caerulea. Little Jess is a great commercial and domestic plant. Rich soils may see taller heights.
