Ozbreeds Native Shrub and

Ground Covers Range

Ozbreeds Native Shrub and Ground Cover Range is a specially chosen collection of Australian native plants that are better performing and look good too.

Our Native Shrub and Ground Cover Range plants are able to handle harsh conditions including drought and frost, while still looking great in the landscape.

In this range you will find a selection of Callistemon, Grevillea, Westringia, Casuarina, Hardenbergia and more.

Some of the varieties in our Shrub and Ground Cover range are:

Scarlet FlameCallistemon viminalis ‘CC19’ PBR, is an ultra compact, fine leaf Callistemon bred from ‘Captain Cook’. It has beautiful rustic new growth foliage with showy red flowers. Best positioned in full sun to part shade areas, it is drought tolerant and can grow to 60cm – 1.5m x 60cm -1m depending on the conditions.

SlimCallistemon viminalis ‘CV01’ PBR, provides landscape professionals and homeowners with a narrow slimline growth habit perfect for screening, hedging and tight spaces.  A large number of flower buds develop in spring and will open to classic bottlebrush flowers throughout spring, summer and later again in autumn. It has been tested down to -6 degrees Celsius with no leaf burn, this is excellent for a Callistemon. Slim™ Callistemon can grow to 3m x 1.3m.

NaringaWestringia ‘WES01’ PBR, is one of the best hedging Westringia's available on the market today, because it keeps its form even after years of growth. Naringa™ Westringiahas a natural upright growth habit with dense foliage perfect for growing as a hedge. It is a fast establishing hedge with a tidier form, needing pruning about half as much as other Westringia's. The Naringa™ plant flowers profusely in spring and regularly at other times of the year, with pretty mauve coloured flowers.

Ozbreed Aussie Box® Westringia ‘WES02’ PBR, is a tough, native alternative to exotic box hedging plants like English Box and Japanese Box. It was selected for its tight, compact growth habit and ability to grow and be clipped as a box hedge or low formal hedge. It can also be left without pruning, because it has a natural ball shape. Growing to approximately 40-60cm x 40-60cm when pruned or 70cm-95cm x 70cm-95cm when left unpruned. Ozbreed Aussie Box® Westringia produces mauve coloured flowers throughout spring – summer.

RivanKunzea ambigua ‘KA01’ PP 2010202581, is a tough, reliable Kunzea ambigua with a much more compact tidy growth habit and uniformed appearance. Growing to approximately 2 meters instead of 3-4 meters like the common form. Rivan™ Kunzea flowers with stunning bursts of white flowers from October to November.
