TIA® Thelionema

TIA® Thelionema

Tia® Thelionema grande ‘TG100’

  • Green and splashes of yellow variegation on its foliage
  • Dwarf habit
  • Colour contrast for borders, hedges, pots and planter boxes.

Description: Tia® Thelionema has blue green toned strappy leaves that are denser than the common form. In spring and summer it provides a fantastic flowering display of blue purple flowers. These flowers are larger than Dianella flowers, so they can be seen from further away.

Tia looks great when planted as specimen plants, or in patches of 10 or 20 through out the garden. It contrasts nicely with green, or red toned plants. It is a good plant for along fences and paths.

Size: 60-70cm high x 60-70cm wide.

Uses: Can be used for specimen planting, small mass plantings, along paths, etc.

Position: Tolerates full sun to part shade. Tolerates a wide range of soils.

Care: Water as required for 8-13 weeks until established. Plant in a well mulched garden (chunky mulch is recommended). If required use slow release fertiliser in spring. Remove older leaves annually.

Where it works: NSW, VIC, SA, WA.
