Feather Top™ Baloskion tetraphyllum
Feather Top™ Baloskion is a new form with all the beauty of the common form, but with a much smaller height, making it ideal for modern landscapes. A clumping perennial herb, Baloskion was formely known as Restio. Feather Top™ Baloskion won’t seed, self sow or become weedy. This is because it is a dioecious plant, meaning it has seperate male and female plant, ensuring a single genotype won’t seed. It gets very few pests or diseases.
Height & Width
It will grow to 50-70cm high x 45cm wide.
Works well in full sun to shady positions. Feather Top™ Baloskion works in heavy clay to sandy soil types. Tolerates humidity and moderate frost.
It is good for moist, wet or boggy sites and watercourses, planting near ponds or in shallow areas of ponds. It is also great as a feature in a pot.
It prefers moist conditions, but can work in relatively dry conditions particularly if shaded and irrigated. The best planting time for Feather Top™ Baloskion is March to October.
