FREE FALL™ Casuarina glauca prostrate ‘CAS01’
The Free Fall™ plant is a super tough, prostrate Casuarina that has excellent erosion control capabilities. It is a low cost alternative to covering large areas of ground. Each plant spreads about 2 to 3 metres in a couple of years, and basically hugs the ground. Casuarinas are normaly a tree, so to be found in a ground cover form is magic.
This wide spreading ground cover casuarina only reaches 30-60cm high.
Best Planting Time
March – November
Free Fall™ Casuarina will provide the landscape industry with a wonderful evergreen, new ground cover or erosion control tool. Excellent for slopes, as it will always grow down the slope. Super tough roadside plant.
Requires full sun to part shade and works in sandy to clay soils. Drought tolerant and cold hardy.
Water well until established and prune if required.
