Little Jess™ Dianella caerulea ‘DCMP01’ Pbr

  • Best-selling Dianella with almost a decade of proven performance
  • Dwarf, clumping growth habit
  • Little Jess™ Dianella has very short compact canes

Description: Little Jess™ Dianella is dwarf with short canes and is a very low maintenance plant requiring trimming approximately every 8 years. Its compact canes will not fall over, and produces masses of purple flowers from September – November. Little Jess™ Dianella is a very drought tolerant Dianella, even more than other Dianella caerulea varieties, including the Breeze® plant.

Size: 40cm high x 40cm wide.

Planting Density: 6-10 plants per m², 3-5 plants per linear metre.

Uses: Specimen and mass plantings for commercial and residential use.

Position: Full sun and moderate to heavy shade. Tolerates drought, humidity and frost. Little Jess™ Dianella suits a wide variety of soils. Avoid very poor soils.

Care: Water as required for 8-13 weeks until established. Plant in a well mulched garden (chunky mulch is recommended). Ensure crown or base of plant is not below soil or mulch level. If required use slow release fertiliser in spring. Every 2-8 years cut back half the height (will look better with pruning every 2-3 years for gardens, 4-8 years for roadsides).

Where it works: NSW, ACT, QLD, VIC, SA, WA & TAS.
