VARIEGATED TANIKA™ Lomandra
Variegated Tanika™ Lomandra longifolia ‘NPW3’
- Variegated form of popular fine leaf Tanika® Lomandra
- Great colour contrast
- Tough like the original
Description: Tanika® Lomandra has been performing in landscapes across Australia for over a decade. An evergreen, improved compact fine leaf form, this low maintenance plant is perfect for landscape professionals and gardeners alike.
Small yellow flowers from April to October, Tanika® Lomandra is also soft to touch so kids will enjoy this plant as well. Tanika® Lomandra is ideal for drought tolerance on slopes and dryland areas.
Not recommended for low lying areas Sydney and north due to the increase of phytophthora in the landscape. Shara™ and Evergreen Baby™ Lomandra are phytophthora resistant alternatives for these situations.
Size: 50 – 60 cm high x 65 cm wide.
Planting Density: 3-6 plants per m², 2-3 plants per linear metre.
Uses: Ideal for borders, specimen planting and mass planting.
Position: Full sun to moderate shade. Tolerates frost and drought. Suits sandy, sandy loam to clay soils. Avoid wet feet.
Care: Water as required for 8-13 weeks until established. Plant in a well mulched garden (chunky mulch is recommended). Ensure crown or base of plant is not below soil or mulch level.
If required use slow release fertiliser in spring. Every 3-10 years cut back 15cm above the ground if required (will look better with pruning every 3 years, this depends on your requirements).
