FINE DIVINE™ Dietes

Fine Divine™ Dietes bicolor ‘Di2’

  • Fine Divine™ is a compact form with finer leaves
  • Rarely produces seed
  • Distinctive yellow flowers

Description: Dietes bicolor are one of the toughest landscape plants available in Australia. The fact that they can regenerate from seed is the only reason their popularity has reduced.

Fine Divine™ Dietes solves this problem by providing an exotic plant species with lower pollen production, which means it rarely, if ever, seeds.

The Fine Divine™ plant is also smaller than the common form. Its much finer leaves make it far more ornamental, which allows it to look better in mass planting for large landscapes and is more compact for smaller gardens.

Due to its finer leaf and more compact size, this Dietes needs very little maintenance—simply prune every 6 to 8 years, if at all.

Size: 60-70cm high x 60-70cm wide.

Planting Density: 4–6 plants per m², 2–3 plants per linear metre.

Uses: Residential and commercial landscapes.

Position: Full sun to part shade. Tolerates drought, humidity and frost. Fine Divine™ Dietes tolerates most soil types.

Care: Water as required for 8-13 weeks until established. Plant in a well mulched garden (chunky mulch is recommended).

If required use slow release fertiliser in spring. Cut back every 6 to 8 years.

Where it works: South QLD, NSW, ACT, VIC, SA & WA.
