Description: Wyeena® Dianella has stunning variegated upright to arching foliage. It is a great background plant for smaller grasses and shrubs.

As it is a tasmanica species it has great cold and frost tolerance compared to other variegated Dianella’s.

Size: 80 – 90 cm high x 80 – 90 cm wide.

Planting Density: 2-5 plants per m², 1.5-3 plants per linear metre.

Uses: Mass planting, feature planting and pots for commercial and residential.

Species: Dianella tasmanica

Position: Full sun to partly shaded positions. Tolerates frost areas. Well drained to clay soils. Avoid very poor soils. Only suited to shaded positions in Sydney.

Care: Water as required for 8-13 weeks until established then water as required. Plant in a well mulched garden (chunky mulch is recommended).

Ensure crown or base of plant is not below soil or mulch level. Use slow release fertiliser in spring. Remove dead leaves as required or cut back every 1-3 years (will look better with pruning every year, this depends on your requirements).
