SASSY™ THYME

Sassy™ Thymus serpyllum ‘WT03’

  • Super strong, peppery flavour
  • Tough perennial herb
  • Contrasting foliage, turns purple to red over winter

Description: Great as an ornamental that you can cook with! Delicate flowers appear in summer and the foliage often turns purple to red over winter creating a contrast for the season.

The aroma is rich and earthy, a stronger Thyme scent.

Size: 10-15cm H x 30-40cm W

Planting Density: Plant 30cm apart in well drained soil in full sun to light shade.

Uses: This is too strong for salads, but in cooked dishes, the robust, spicy and peppery flavours come through, adding rich and powerful Thyme flavours to your cooking.

Care: Water as required, allowing soil to dry out between watering. Avoid over watering, particularly in winter.

Can be planted year round (best in spring, summer to early autumn).

In spring and autumn if required, use a slow release fertiliser and/or incorporate compost into the soil.
